counting the costs.

reacting to gravitational pull
is as natural and automatic
as combustion,
or Spring.

Inevitably,
the heart and mind
will cook up a plan that will not
turn out as intended:
confusing unquestionable insight,
and the belief that one knows how everything works,
with standing backstage
at the puppet show.
